Student arrested for threatening shooting suspect

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- Both a shooting suspect and the Fort Dorchester High School student who threatened his life were arrested Thursday.

Officers responded to Fort Dorchester High School around 4 p.m. after a student tweeted that he was going to shoot the person who shot his brother. The student was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct.

The student's brother had been shot just a couple of hours earlier, according to police.

The report says officers were called to Appian Apartments on Patriot Boulevard to investigate a shooting. The victim said he had gotten a phone call telling him to come outside and when he did, a black male in a black hoodie and blue jeans approached him and told him to empty his pockets.

When the victim said he had nothing to give, the suspect shot him in the right leg just below the knee.

Police said the victim knew his attacker. Khalil Stephfon McPherson was identified as the suspect and was arrested Thursday last night.{}
