Suborbital space travel topic of Citadel talk

CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - An official of a California-based company working on the idea of suborbital travel is in Charleston to discuss the idea.

Khaki Rodway of XCOR Aerospace based in Mojave, Calif., is scheduled to give her talk on Thursday at The Citadel.

She is the director of payload sales and operations for the company developing a suborbital vehicle to take payloads and people into space.

Rodway is discussing the advantages of low-cost space access and the timeline for developing the space vehicle.
