Summerville man arrested in TD Bank robbery case

SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (WCIV) -- A Summerville man was arrested in Massachusetts on Wednesday and charged with robbing a Summerville bank.

According to officials, 28-year-old Brian Stephen Dyer robbed the TD Bank of Trolley Road on Dec. 23 and then fled north. During their investigation, police identified Dyer and got a search warrant three days later.

It was then police believed Dyer had fled to Massachusetts or Rhode Island, according to a police statement.

He was found in Seekonk, Mass. Officials from the Southeastern Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council, a SWAT team, the FBI, and Seekonk police captured Dyer Wednesday afternoon.

Dyer is being held in the New Bedford House of Corrections on a $1 million cash bond. He is also awaiting extradition to Dorchester County.
