Summerville man dies after falling into Colleton County pond
WALTERBORO, S.C. (WCIV) -- A Summerville man died after falling into a pond Monday.According to Colleton Fire Chief Barry McRoy, the victim was a long-time employee for Murray Mines. He was identified by the coroner as 29-year-old Kyle Martin. Martin was pulled out of the pond and people on the scene tried CPR, but it did not work.Chief McRoy said Martin was working in a boat in the pond located in a sandpit on the property.Officials say an autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday.
