CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- Charleston police officers arrested a North Charleston man Monday 14 minutes after the burglary he is accused of was committed.
According to a release from the Charleston Police Department, the victim woke up just before 9 a.m. to find 43-year-old Damon Ray Moore standing in her bedroom.
The victim told police Moore apologized and ran from the apartment. She described the suspect and Moore was found along George and Meeting streets. He was charged with first-degree burglary and property crime enhancement.
Police returned the jewelry that was taken during the incident.
