Swiss police: Co-pilot hijacks Ethiopian plane

GENEVA (WCIV/AP) -- A Swiss official says the co-pilot of an Ethiopian Airlines plane was the hijacker of the flight.

The official says the co-pilot was seeking asylum in Switzerland, so he took control of the aircraft while the pilot was in the bathroom and locked himself in the cockpit.

The plane landed in Geneva and the suspected hijacker was arrested Monday.

Officials say no one was harmed.
