Teen murder suspect from SC caught in NE Pa.

TOBYHANNA, Pa. (AP) - A teenager accused of shooting four people during a three-month crime spree in South Carolina, killing one, has been captured in northeastern Pennsylvania.

Dustin Williamson, 17, was arrested Tuesday in Tobyhanna, in the Pocono Mountains, U.S. Marshal Martin Pane said.

Williamson shot and wounded two people in March, shot and killed another victim in May, and shot and wounded a fourth person in June, according to authorities in Barnwell County, S.C.

He was charged with murder in Blackville, S.C., on May 30, after he allegedly shot the victim in the face. He was also wanted on charges of attempted murder, armed robbery and weapons offenses.

The U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force tracked Williamson to northeastern Pennsylvania, where U.S. marshals as well as Pocono Mountain Regional Police officers arrested him without incident in Tobyhanna.

"The coordination and cooperation demonstrated by law enforcement in this case ensured that an extremely dangerous and unpredictable fugitive was taken off the streets," Pane said in a statement.

Williamson awaits extradition to South Carolina. It's not clear if he has an attorney.
