Teens, 13 and 15, charged in North Charleston shooting
NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- North Charleston police are investigating a shooting that happened on Corley Drive Sunday.
According to NCPD spokesperson Spencer Pryor, officers responded just before 7 p.m. and found a 15-year-old boy had been shot in the buttocks.
Witnesses told police a group of teens were "gathering in the area" when the shooting happened.
While reports described the suspect as being a slender black male, police have arrested a 15-year-old girl and charged her with attempted murder. Officials said she is in the custody of the Department of Juvenile Justice.
Several days later, police charged a 13-year-old boy with attempted murder and gun possession in connection to the shooting. The 13-year-old is also being held at the Department of Juvenile Justice.
This shooting was only a half mile away from the site of another shooting that happened over the weekend.
Four people were wounded in a shooting early Saturday morning at Club Camouflage on Dorchester Road.
Police said the suspect in that case was a short black man with dreadlocks wearing a camouflage shirt or jacket.
