Teen wanted in string of Orangeburg burglaries

ORANGEBURG, S.C. (WCIV) - Orangeburg deputies are looking for a 19-year-old they say is responsible for three burglaries over a six-day period.

"Jahware Ebdule Kimbrough is wanted in three burglaries over a 15 mile radius in 6 days. The homeowner discovered Kimbrough and an unidentified co-defendant at his home on Jan. 28. Kimbrough and his co-defendant pointed a gun at the homeowner, who was blocking the escape vehicle in his yard. The thieves tried to escape in the vehicle but got stuck in the yard. They jumped out of the vehicle and ran into the woods," said Orangeburg County Sheriff Leroy Ravenell.

Investigators determined that Kimbrough has stolen sneakers, jewelry, an antique rifle, and money.

Deputies said he also used a weapon during the robberies on Jan. 28.
