Tests confirm remains those of Horry County woman
FLORENCE, S.C. (AP) - The Florence County coroner says DNA testing has confirmed that skeletal remains found along the Great Pee Dee River are those of an Horry County woman who has been missing since January.
Coroner Keith von Lutcken said the remains are those of 32-year-old Angela Grace Pipkin of Galivants Ferry. The coroner says the death has been ruled a homicide. Pipkin had been missing since Jan. 16.
Forty-seven-year-old Randy Gale Robinson of Murrells Inlet was arrested in March and charged with murder. The arrest warrant accused Robinson of killing and dismembering Pipkin, and disposing of the remains in a body of water.
Pipkin's body was found by loggers along the river in eastern Florence County.Copyright 2014 The Associated Press. All rights reserved. This material may not be published, broadcast, rewritten or redistributed.
