Third suspect arrested in murder of Mount Pleasant couple

MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCIV) - Saint Martin prosecutors say a third suspect has been arrested for the murder of Michael and Thelma King.

Prosecutors say the suspect, a 20-year-old identified as J.J.W., left Saint Martin for Saint Thomas on Wednesday afternoon.

J.J.W. was arrested on Thursday by Saint Thomas law enforcement.{} Police say they received information that J.J.W. was involved in the murder of Michael and Thelma King and the robbery at the Happy Star restaurant on September 19.

Police say W. will remain in custody through the weekend and go before on a judge on Monday.

Michael and Thelma King residents of Mount Pleasant and are believed to have been in Saint Martin to start a spiced rum business.{}
