CPD: Three West Ashley Chinese restaurants robbed

CHARLETON, S.C. (WCIV) -- Officers with the Charleston Police Department are searching for suspects in connection with robberies at three Chinese restaurants in West Ashley.Officials said officers responded to Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant on Ashley Crossing Drive, Jade Garden on Bees Ferry Road and China Fun on Ashley Town Center Drive, Monday morning after break-ins were reported.According to a police report, a nearby store owner noticed the door to Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant was broken. Money and a check book were stolen from the location, the report states.Officials located a small piece of concrete inside Jade Green that was used to smash the front door, according to the report. An undisclosed amount of money was stolen from the business.Metal cash drawers, a square, leather container, and money were stolen from China Fun, according to the report.If you have any information, you are asked to call Crimestoppers at 554-1111.
