SULLIVAN'S ISLAND, S.C. (WCIV) -- Ever wondered what's inside a lighthouse? Wonder no more. The Sullivan's Island lighthouse is holding an open house.
It was commissioned in 1962 and was the last major lighthouse to be built in the United States. It replaced the original Charleston harbor light, also known as the Morris Island lighthouse built in 1876.
You can check it out Sunday November 6th from 1pm- 5pm. It's located at Station 18. For more information, call Fort Moultrie at 883-3123.
