Treasurer talking financial literacy in Lowcountry
CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) -- State Treasurer Curtis Loftis is talking about financial literacy with students in the Lowcountry.
The treasurer is scheduled to visit Mason Prep and Daniel Island School in Charleston on Friday. The idea is to discuss money matters and encourage kids to visit the treasurer's website for games and interactive information on handling money.
Loftis will speak with students and parents and provide both schools with new iPads paid for with donations, not state money.
