United Way creates fund to help Sandy victims
CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- The United Way has created a fund designed to help victims of Hurricane Sandy.
Chapters of the charity along the East Coast and the Northeast have established the United Way Hurricane Sandy Recovery Fund to address immediate and long-term recovery efforts, according to a news release from Trident United Way issued Thursday.

Contributions to the fund will be used by United Way chapters in 11 states and Washington, D.C.
