      Trio of SC lotto players wake up millionaires

      COLUMBIA, S.C. (WCIV) - Three SouthCarolina Education Lottery tickets sold came within one number of winningWednesday night's Powerball jackpot.

      According to lottery officials, a Powerball ticket worth $2million was sold by the H&S Shoppe on Main Street in Andrews.

      Two other $1 million tickets were sold by retailers in Florence and Rock Hill, lottery officials said. Cruizers XII on Williston Road in Florence and MR Express on Nations Ford Road in Rock Hill sold the winning tickets.

      The winners matched all five white ball numbers to win $1million. One of the ticket holders purchased the Power Play for an extra $1 tohave the prize doubled, officials said.

      According to the lottery commission, 140,000 winning ticketswere sold in South Carolinafor a totally of $5.3 million in prizes. Winnings ranged from $4 to $2 million.

      So far, only two tickets have been located that have all sixmatching numbers. Those tickets were sold in Arizonaand Missouri.The winners will share a $579.9 million jackpot.{}
