GOOSE CREEK, S.C. (WCIV) -- Berkeley County Sheriff's deputies have taken Darryl Flowers into custody for the shooting death of his estranged wife, Tammy.According to BCSO officials, 36-year-old Flowers is with one count of murder, two counts of attempted murder, two counts of kidnapping and one count of possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime. Flowers was captured earlier this month near Baltimore, MD after a traffic stop and brief chase. He extradited on Wednesday by members of the BCSO and the US Marshals Services.The shooting happened June 4 at a home on Elmwood Place in Goose Creek. Deputies responded to find 36-year-old Tammy Flowers dead and two teenaged girls injured. Tammy Flowers was in the process of adopting the two teen girls at the time of the attack. According to police, the girls' mother died and Tammy Flowers had taken them in. Darryl Flowers is the uncle of the two teen victims, deputies said.However, at the time of the shooting Tammy and Darryl Flowers were estranged; Darryl Flowers was not living at the home. A motive for the shooting has not been released.
