COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - Several places in the South Carolina Upstate along with Florence have seen their rainiest July since records have been kept.
Data from the Southeast Regional Climate Center shows a site near Anderson reported 15.39 inches of rain in July. The Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport reported 14.45 inches of rain, while a site in Spartanburg reported 10.33 inches of rain. The totals are all records for the month.
The Florence airport also reported a July record of 14.91 inches of rain.
The University of South Carolina had 13.78 inches of rain in July, but it only ranked fourth.
