US Marshals arrest man accused of threatening ex with a gun

SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (WCIV) -- Members of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force arrested a man wanted for domestic violence against his ex-girlfriend.

According to the Charleston County Sheriff's Office, 36-year-old Robert W. Farrington is charged with Criminal Domestic Violence in the third degree, Assault and Battery in the third degree, Burglary in the first degree, Criminal Domestic Violence High and Aggravated Nature, Kidnapping and Possession of a Weapon During the Commission of a Violent Crime.

Farrington is wanted for burglarizing the home of his former girlfriend and threatening her with a gun.

According to the incident report, on February 22, Farrington would also not let her leave her home until she promised to call his mother. The three children they have together were not in the home at the time.

CCSO officials said Farrington was arrested July 10 at his home in Summerville.
