COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - Democrats from across South Carolina are lining up for U.S. Rep. Jim Clyburn's fish fry.
The annual event is scheduled for Friday at the Cannon Parking Garage in downtown Columbia.
Starting more than 20 years ago, the fish fry includes music, campaign speeches and a meal of fried whiting, white bread, hot sauce and cold drinks.
This year, U.S. Sen. Tim Kaine of Virginia and U.S. Rep. Tulsi Gabbard of Hawaii are scheduled to attend.
The fish fry takes place the night before the South Carolina Jefferson-Jackson Dinner.Copyright 2014 The Associated Press. All rights reserved. This material may not be published, broadcast, rewritten or redistributed.
