COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham has filled out the paperwork and written the $10,440 check to run for office again.
Graham stopped by the South Carolina Election Commission on Wednesday to officially start his campaign for a third term.
The 58-year-old Republican joked with clerks at the office. When he was asked if he wanted to run for the seat currently held by Lindsey Graham, he told the employees that he agreed with most of that guy's positions and thinks he is a good man.
A half-dozen other candidates have said they want to run against Graham in the Republican primary, but officials say none of them have filed and paid their fee as of Wednesday morning. Filing ends March 30.Copyright 2014 The Associated Press. All rights reserved. This material may not be published, broadcast, rewritten or redistributed.
