Veterans being honored in North Charleston

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) -- Hundreds of veterans are again being honored at a Veterans Day ceremony in North Charleston.

The city has again been selected by the Department of Defense and the Veterans Day National Committee as a regional site for Veterans Day ceremonies.

The annual event is being held Monday at Park Circle in the city. Hundreds of veterans receive recognition from Mayor Keith Summey and members of North Charleston City County.

Last year at the event, more than 500 veterans were honored.
