Walterboro police investigate shots fired into home

WALTERBORO, S.C. (WCIV) -- Walterboro police are investigating two shootings that happened over the past three days.

Both incidents happened just after midnight, the first on Sunday and the second on Tuesday.

On Sunday, the victim told police she heard several shots near her Sweat Street home. Police found a single bullet had entered the left rear bedroom and damaged the vinyl siding outside.

Tuesday, a woman told police she was walking down Greenpond Highway in Walterboro Village, talking on her cell phone, when a blue sedan passed her. She said the car turned around, came back at her at a high rate of speed and she heard a gun shot.

The victim told police she started running and heard more shots but she wasn't sure if they were shooting at her or up into the air.
