      Wanted man dives through a window, deputy injured in chase

      WALTERBORO, S.C. (WCIV) - Deputies say a man jumped through a closed window and disappeared into the woods on Friday.

      According to Sheriff George A. Malone with the Colleton County Sheriff's Office, deputies attempted to serve a warrant for Christopher Sible at 5141 Pleasant Grove Road in Walterboro.

      When deputies entered the residence, they say Sible ran out of a closet and dove through a closed window, shattering the glass.{} Deputies say he then ran into a wooded area where Sible escaped.

      One deputy was injured when he fell on a concrete area during the chase.{} Sheriff Malone says the deputy's injures required several stitches.

      Malone says Sible is on the Sheriff's Office top ten most wanted list for an assault and battery incident that occurred on October 30.

      Sible has not been found and the tracking team and aviation unit have called off their portion of the search.{} Deputies remain in the area in case Sible is spotted again.
