CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- A water main break on Thanksgiving night shut down an intersection on the Charleston peninsula leading to Hampton Park.
But CPW crews working through the night had the intersection at Dunneman Avenue and 10th Street reopened before 8 a.m. Friday.
The main appears to be fixed, but the hole dug by the crew still has to be paved over. There are currently cones forcing drivers around the hole.
A CPW official showed up at the site shortly after 9 p.m. and crews arrived a short time later.
Charleston police officers blocked off the exit from Mary Murray Drive on to 10th Street as well as one block in either direction of the break on Dunneman Avenue.
