Waters leads Palmetto Christian to 62-49 win over Porter Gaud

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- Porter Gaud Head Coach Rick Reetz expected a high-scoring affair when his Cyclones played host to Palmetto Christian Academy in their season opener Tuesday night, but he didn't expect anything like this.

PCA quarterback J.T Waters rushed for 312 yards and 6 touchdowns and threw for over 300 yards and 2 touchdowns in leading the Eagles to an 62-49 upset victory over Porter Gaud.

Porter Guad sophomore quarterback Steven Duncan threw for just under 300 yards and 5 touchdowns in his Cyclones debut. Duncan, a transfer from Ashley Ridge, stands 6-feet 2-inches and weighs 220 pounds.

Palmetto Christian and Porter Guad now have a quick turnaround as they prepare for the Sertoma Football Classic on Friday night.
