Workshop focuses on SC film incentives
CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) -- A workshop on the South Carolina coast is focusing on how businesses can benefit from the incentives that South Carolina offers the film industry.
The workshop scheduled for Thursday is sponsored by Lowcountry Local First and the South Carolina Film Council. It features, among others, Film Council President Gavin McCulley, Steve Yetman, a location manager for ABC studios and Chris Fisher of Fisher Recycling, a company that works with the television series Army Wives.
A law in South Carolina allows for rebates for wages spent on workers who are South Carolina residents and for money spent with South Carolina businesses. The event is being held at Studio Charleston in the West Ashley section.
