Zagat announces first ever surveying of South Carolina restaurants

NEW YORK, NY - Zagat, the world's original provider of user-generated restaurant and lifestyle information, has announced the open voting period for its first-ever survey of South Carolina restaurants.

Locals in Charleston and Hilton Head can participate by visiting before the survey ends on August 12.

Survey participants are asked to rate the key attributes of each restaurant, including the "Food", "Decor" and "Service" on Zagat's signature 30-point scale. They are also asked to provide insightful comments about their experiences which Zagat editors summarize into concise, accurate reviews. These scores and reviews are a cornerstone of Google+ Local, a new product that lets users easily discover and share local information with recommendations from Zagat and the people they trust in Google+.

In addition to voting online, Zagat will host a special Zagat Lounge in Charleston's Citadel Mall from July 25-31, conveniently located near the Food Court. The Lounge will be open during mall hours and visitors who submit votes will be eligible for special gifts while supplies last.

Those who complete the survey before August 12th will be eligible to receive special rewards including a "Night on the Town" or a Samsung Galaxy Android Tablet, both valued at $400.
