NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- Charleston County sheriff's deputies are investigating incidents involving two horses over a two day time period.
According to investigators, both of the horses might have been shot. However, investigators do not believe the cases are related.
Police were called Wednesday to 1360 Brownswood Road on Johns Island, where they found a dead horse who had apparently been shot in the head.
Thursday, police were called to 990 Dill Bluff Road on James Island, where a horse had a wound on the left side of its neck.
It is being treated.
Charleston County Animal Control is continuing the investigation, a spokesman for the sheriff's office said.
