Board of Architectural Review set to discuss the demolition of The Courtyard Apartments
The Board of Architectural Review has set a public meeting for Wednesday, September 13, 2017 to discuss the future of the Courtyard apartments in downtown Charleston.
Once popular, the apartments now have a 1.7 Google rating with steadily growing rental rates. ApartmentRatings.com has a 2.9 out of 5 for the complex.
The meeting is set to take place at 4:30 PM at 75 Calhoun street.
Information provided by the BAR states though the apartments are targeted to be torn down, the fence that surrounds them will remain standing. The request to demolish the property was made by the owner.
The reason Meeting Street Ventures LLC wants to make changes was not made available via the BAR meeting agenda provided to ABC News 4.
