Holy City Brewing to host Military Appreciation Bash Friday
One of Charleston’s favorite breweries since 2011 is throwing a Military Appreciation Bash on Friday, July 14 from 4-9 p.m. The party is Holy City Brewing’s way to make sure the servicemen and women who protect our country on a daily basis know they are appreciated.
HCB’s location in North Charleston on Dorchester Road puts it right between the Navy base, the Coast Guard station, the Air Force base and those servicemen and women have been integral to the success of the brewery since its inception.
They will also be giving out special edition t-shirts on a first-come, first-served basis to those that ask for a shirt. The shirts tie into the different branches of the military and are free while supplies last to those with a valid military ID (active or retired).
The main event will be the blonde bock that they’re releasing , which sits at about 7% ABV. The beer is named SOGTY-33, because every commercial pilot and military pilot that flies into Charleston passes through that point, which is situated right above the brewery on Dorchester Road. To celebrate, they’ll be offering $3 pours of all the pints served at the brewery, as a nod to the armed forces. The party starts at 4 p.m., and live music will be provided by Dallas Baker and Friends.
All that anyone needs to bring is a military ID, whether they’re active or retired, and they’ll have a no-hassle inclusion to the deals and the t-shirts. They’ll also be serving their regular dinner menu, which can be viewed on their website. Further inquiries about the event can be directed towards firstname.lastname@example.org.
