RECALL: Undeclared peanuts in CLIF BUILDER'S bar sold at Trader Joe's

According to a press release, Trader Joe's supplier of CLIF® BUILDER'S® Bar, chocolate mint flavor, is recalling product for the presence of undeclared peanuts.

People who have an allergy to peanuts or tree nuts run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they eat the bars.

The voluntary recall is for product with lot codes 05APR16MX through 23APR18MX (where "X" represents the number 3 or 6), due to the possible presence of undeclared peanuts and tree nuts including almonds, Brazil nuts, cashews, hazelnuts, macadamia nuts, pecans, walnuts and coconut.

No other Clif Bar products sold by Trader Joe's are affected. All of the potentially affected product has been removed from store shelves and destroyed.

If you purchased product with the affected codes and have a peanut or tree nut allergy, Trader Joe's advises you not to eat it, and to discard the product or return it to any Trader Joe’s for a full refund.
