'Movies Rock!' at Yonder Field as Bowman concert venue transforms to drive-in
Yonder Field is pleased to announce a partnership with Highway 21 Drive-In to present "Movies Rock!" at the new outdoor venue space in Bowman, SC. Movies will commence the weekend of August 18th, will run through the holidays, and play every Friday and Saturday evening when there are no other scheduled concerts or festivals.
"We are so excited that Orangeburg County will have its very own Drive-In Movie Theater," said President/General Manager, Stacie Darr White. "Our fantastic partners are Joe Barth and Martin Murray who own Highway 21 Drive-In in Beaufort, SC. Joe has owned Highway 21 (which has two screens and operates seven days a week) for the past 14 years and Martin is also a co-owner/partner of 13 other Drive-Ins across the US, including two in North Carolina. We are also fortunate to have John Westman-Barth who is overseeing the entire project and installation."
"Movies Rock!" will start with one screen from the weekend of August 18th until September when it will then boast three first-run movies on three separate screens per weekend. There will be a stage for live music before the featured movies and lawn games that will include Cornhole and a giant Connect 4. A converted trolley concession stand (with traditional movie snacks) as well as a Food Truck Village will be available for a great variety of food options.
Starting in September, there will be two adult movies (Rated PG-13 or R) one with lawn seating only (where VIP Premium Seating that includes outdoor couches and table service) and the other with lawn seating and car viewing behind. The third movie will be family-friendly (Rated G/PG) and will have lawn seating with car viewing behind. Beer and wine sales will be available but will not be sold (or can be consumed) at the family-friendly movie.

6:30pm Gates open to cars
8:45pm-11pm Movie begins (1 screen until September, then 3 screens)
"Movies Rock!" will feature the same movies currently running in theaters. Yonder Field will update coming attractions and trailers on their website and Facebook page.
The bands that will kick-off the first weekend will be Southbound 17 on Friday, August 18 and Pinkerton and the Brinks on Saturday, August 19.
In addition to this, E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial will be shown on Monday, August 21 at 9:00pm as part of the Solar Eclipse Festival. (Tickets still available for the Solar Eclipse Festival by visiting www.Yonderfield.com or www.Ticketfly.com)
"Movies Rock!" tickets are available at the gate on movie nights.

"VIP Couch" reservations will be available on www.Ticketfly.com. Each VIP Outdoor Couch seats up to 5 people and costs $100 to reserve. VIP service includes preferred parking, table service for food and beverages, and prime viewing location for the movie.
