2 Beaufort men arrested on drug charges

BEAUFORT, S.C. (WCIV) -- Two Beaufort men were arrested on drug charges this week after an investigation by the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office.{}

According to officials, 35-year-old James Odom and 26-year-old Lorenzo Delmone Rivers were arrested after an investigation stemming from reports that the two men were dealing drugs from a Beeburst Lane home.{}

Odom was charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of cocaine, possession of a stolen firearm, and possession of a Schedule II drug, specifically Hydrocodone.{}

Rivers was charged with possession with the intent to distribute a Schedule II drug, possession of cocaine, and possession of a stolen firearm.{}

Around 10 a.m. Thursday, deputies executed the search warrant and found 1,268 grams of marijuana, about a gram of cocaine, 17 Hydrocodone pills, two handguns, a rifle, an assortment of drug paraphernalia, and $665 in cash.{}

Deputies discovered that one of the guns was stolen from an earlier crime in Beaufort County, officials said.{}

Both men are being held at the Beaufort County Detention Center.{}
