2 more arrested in Orangeburg robbery cases

ORANGEBURG, S.C. (WCIV) -- Two more men have been arrested by Orangeburg County deputies who they say are tied to several burglaries and two men who tried to run from a safety check.

According to Orangeburg County deputies, Marcus Goodwin and Christopher Corbitt were arrested Tuesday night. Officials said Goodwin is the third man wanted for a string of burglaries. Corbitt was arrested after officers found 40 grams of crack and a pistol.

Last week, Dewayne Prezzie and Dantonio Demont Washington were arrested after deputies say they tried to avoid a safety checkpoint.

After turning down a dead-end road, deputies say Washington ran so one of the officers used a Taser to stop him. Prezzie was taken into custody after he fell down, according to officials.

Goodwin was charged with several counts of burglary and receiving stolen goods. Corbitt was charged with trafficking drugs and weapons possession.
