SLED has announced the arrest of a third Lowcountry man in connection to an armed robbery at a Blackville bank on March 8.

Mikell Todd Nelson II is charged with kidnapping. Investigators say the 32-year-old Summerville man was seen on video surveillance in the bank. He's accused of holding people in the bank at gunpoint and restraining their hands during the armed robbery.

Nelson and two men from North Charleston were caught in Colleton County after a high speed chase through Barnwell and Bamberg. Their vehicle was flipped after a South Carolina Highway Patrol officer initiated what is called a "pit maneuver."
