5 arrested in Berkeley County meth bust

      LADSON, S.C. (WCIV) -- Five people were arrested last week at a home in Ladson and charged with manufacturing meth.

      According to the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office, 31-year-old Christopher Jenkins, 29-year-old David Howell, and 24-year-old Ashley Gallimore, all of Goose Creek, along with 32-year-old Ulghni Ortiz, of North Charleston, and 37-year-old Angela Stewart, of Ladson, were charged with attempting to manufacture meth.

      Deputies also issued an arrest warrant for 21-year-old Marcel Alston, of Ladson, who is wanted on the same charge.

      Deputies executed a search warrant at a Eastern White Pine Road home and found materials to make meth.

      According to deputies, the five people arrested were at the home at the time of the search. Through investigation, they learned Alston left the house shortly before they arrived, deputies said.
