      6 arrested in Berkeley meth lab bust

      BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCIV) -- Berkeley County deputies arrested six people and charged them with manufacturing meth and possessing a large amount of ephedrine after searching a home on Jan. 4.{}

      According to the sheriff's office, deputies arrested 21-year-old Joshua Alton Quick, 26-year-old Sara Elaine Aikman, 20-year-old Jamie McCallister, 42-year-old Jennifer Leigh Martin, 27-year-old Danny Ray Ratliff, and 22-year-old Charles Simmons Harris III.

      Deputies said they expect more arrests to come from the investigation.{}

      On Wednesday, officers also arrested 23-year-old Daniel Thornburg on charges of possession with intent to distribute marijuana and possession with intent to distribute meth at a home on Sandy Run Circle.{}

      According to deputies, Thornburg also had outstanding warrants for third-degree assault and batter, driving under suspension, and cruelty to animals from other local law agencies.{}
