Alabama prison escapee caught in Charleston County

Charleston Police say they arrested a prisoner Monday night who had escaped more than a month ago from a Coffee County, Alabama work release camp.

According to Charleston Police spokesperson Charles Francis, Michael John Klink was arrested at the Hardee's on 2109 Savannah Highway Monday evening after police got a tip from a citizen.

According to ABC 33/40 in Birmingham, Klink escaped from the Elba Work Release Center July 6.

Klink had been serving a 20 year prison sentence for burglary.
