      Awendaw man charged with burglary, peeping

      MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCIV) -- An Awendaw man was arrested Wednesday after police say he tried to break into several homes.

      According to Mount Pleasant police, 35-year-old Corwin Alston was charged with second-degree peeping Tom and first- and second-degree burglary on Wednesday after a series of break-in attempts in the Charleston National neighborhood.

      Charleston County deputies also wanted Alston for failing to register as a sex offender, police said.

      Alston is being held at the Charleston County Detention Center on a $110,000 bond.
