      CCSO, Marshals nab New Jersey fugitive

      NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- Charleston County Sheriff's deputies helped arrest a man they say was wanted by authorities in New Jersey.

      According to CCSO officials, U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force agents were contacted Thursday about a man wanted in Hudson County New Jersey for Aggravated Sexual Assault, Endangering and Child Abuse.

      Marshals were told the suspect, 41-year-old Drew Richard McKelvey, was seen walking through a parking lot in the area of 5900 Rivers Avenue.

      McKelvey was apprehended by task force members.

      The Hudson County Sheriff's Office confirmed McKelvey was wanted and{} Additionally, the North Charleston Police Department confirmed an active Criminal Sexual Conduct Warrant.

      McKelvey was taken to the Al Cannon Detention Center where North Charleston Police will serve their warrant before he gets extradited to Hudson County, N.J.
