      Charleston man arrested on drug charge

      CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- A downtown Charleston man was arrested Tuesday by Charleston police on drug charges.

      The arrest came after officers executed a search warrant at his Poplar Street home, police said.{}

      According to police, 57-year-old Edward Singleton was charged with trafficking heroin. Police found 31.7 grams of heroin during a search of his home, they said.{}

      Singleton is being held at the Al Cannon Detention Center. His bond was set at $1.1 million.
