Charleston man arrested on gun, drug charges

WEST ASHLEY, S.C. (WCIV) -- A Charleston man was arrested over the weekend on gun and drug charges after a special investigations unit executed a search warrant at his Opal Avenue home.

According to Charleston police, 35-year-old Kenley Lionel Ancrum was charged with trafficking cocaine, possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute within close proximity of a school, possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Ancrum's bond was set at $120,000.

Police confiscated 15 grams of cocaine, a gun and more than $1,200 in cash, police said.

He is being held in the Al Cannon Detention Center.
