Charleston Police arrest suspect in Hampton Park attempted murder, armed robbery case

Charleston Police say they have arrested and charged a suspect in connection to a robbery and shooting that happened Friday night, Dec. 8.

Neslyn B. Berroa, 19, is in jail at the Sheriff Al Cannon Detention Center, charged with attempted murder and armed robbery, according to police.

Police say Berroa shot a man and robbed him at the Hampton Park Gazebo on Friday night.

According to police, the victim showed up at the Citadel's campus around 9:30 p.m. Friday with a gunshot wound to his left shoulder, asking for help.

The victim was taken to MUSC for treatment.
