Charleston teen charged with sex crime against minor

      CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) - A Charleston teen was arrested and charged with driving to have sexual conduct with a minor.

      According to the Attorney General's Office, 19-year-old Ian James Willis was charged with three counts of sexual conduct with a minor. The arrest was made by the Florence County Sheriff's Office.

      Investigators say Willis was communicating with a minor in Florence County for a month, sharing over social media with the victim a photo of his penis as well as a host of sexually explicit messages.

      On Aug. 14, investigators say Willis drove to Florence to meet with the victim and was arrested.

      He was charged with one count of criminal solicitation of a minor and one count of second-degree attempted criminal sexual conduct with a minor.
