Deputies: Idaho woman arrested after trying to fetch 9 pounds of pot from hotel

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- Charleston County deputies arrested an Idaho woman after they say she tried to collect more than 9 pounds of marijuana from the front desk of a North Charleston hotel.

According to a report, Dana Zimmerman, of Driggs, Idaho, was charged with possession with the intent to distribute marijuana.

Deputies say Zimmerman went to the front desk of the Radisson Hotel on Rivers Avenue to pick up a package she was expecting. Inside the package was 9.14 pounds of marijuana.

The street value of the drugs is $41,490, deputies said.

Zimmerman is being held in the Al Cannon Detention Center. Her bond hearing has been scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday.
