Duo accused of making meth in Summerville mobile home
DORCHESTER COUNTY, S.C. (WCIV) -- Two people were arrested Monday after Dorchester County deputies found a working meth lab in a mobile home.
According to the sheriff's office, deputies were first called to the mobile home on Marie Lane in Summerville because people were complaining of a chemical odor coming from the home.
Officers said they associated the smell with a "one-pot" method of making meth. Amy Burgio, the homeowner, reportedly let officers search the home.
During the search they found the meth lab, the report states.
Burgio was arrested and charged with manufacturing meth and possession of meth. Peter Ward was also arrested and charged with possession of marijuana.
Both are being held in the Dorchester County Detention Center.
