GOOSE CREEK, S.C. (WCIV) -- A Goose Creek man was charged with trafficking cocaine after a traffic stop on Highway 52 in Berkeley County on Friday.
According to the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office, 28-year-old Deangelo Laprince Brown was charged with two counts of trafficking cocaine.
Officers found 11 grams in his car and another 22 grams of cocaine in his apartment, they said. They also found 2 grams of marijuana.
The search for cocaine came after the patrol officer saw a white, powdery substance on the driver's seat.
When officers ran his license through the criminal database, they found that he was driving while his license had been suspended.
Brown is being held at the Hill-Finklea Detention Center.
