Lander Univ. student charged with raping woman

GREENWOOD, S.C. (AP) - Authorities say a Lander University student raped another student after offering to help her find her friends.

Greenwood Police said the woman want to a hospital last week and told nurses a man forced her to have sex.

Investigators say the woman told them she became separated from her friends at a fraternity party and 21-year-old Hunter Coker offered to help her find them.

But instead, police say Coker asked the woman to expose herself and when she refused, forced her to have sex in a car.

Coker was charged with first-degree criminal sexual conduct. It isn't known if he had a lawyer.
