Man accused of improper sexual conduct with teen

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- A 24-year-old Charleston man was accused of sex crimes against a young girl this week after being found in the girl's home by another adult.

According to police, Ronald David Ratliff was charged with criminal sexual conduct with a minor.

The report states that a 43-year-old man found Ratliff in a Carters Grove Road home on Sunday but ran before police arrived.

The teen girl told officer Ratliff was her friend and she had given him a key to get into the home when the adult was out of town. The teen also said she was "more than friends" with Ratliff, confirming that they were sexually active, according to the report.

Police recommended the locks on the home be changed.

Ratliff's bond was set at nearly $52,000.
